ABOUT THE SNOWKITING COURSE

Experience the thrill of snowkiting in the heart of Norway!

Join us at Haugastøl, perfectly placed between Bergen and Oslo, amidst the stunning landscapes of Hardangervidda, for an unforgettable snowkiting adventure. With over a decade of experience, our instructors will guide you through the basics of snowkiting, while ensuring you have a safe and enjoyable snowkite course.

Here is a glimpse of what you can expect from the course:

Friday: 

  • Meet at Haugastøl Tourist Center for an indoor theory session. We'll talk about course expectations, weather forecasts, safety procedures, and equipment distribution.

Saturday & Sunday: 

  • Meet up fully dressed at the car park outside Haugastøl at 09:15 for joint departure to today's spot.

  • Daily sessions will focus on kite theory, setup, control, launching, landing, and riding on skis and snowboard.

  • We'll progress at a pace that suits your skill level, ensuring you're comfortable, confident & safe.

  • Enjoy stunning views and the thrill of riding on snow.

  • The day ends back at Haugastøl Tourist Center at around 4:00 p.m. Depending on the conditions, the days can be longer if the energy level and conditions are good!

Additional Information:

  • Accommodation: We recommend booking your stay at Haugastøl Tourist Center.

  • Equipment: Bring your own skis or snowboard, and appropriate winter clothing.

  • Transportation: Arrange your own transportation to Haugastøl. Carpooling is encouraged.
